VGA stands for Video Graphics Array and is a computer display standard, VGA is mistakenly known as a Video Graphics Adapter – your computers graphics card. VGA was replaced with Super VGA (SVGA) although the term VGA is still used.

The standard connector used on graphics cards is a 15pin D-type connector although this is being replaced with the DVI connector which is already present on many graphics cards.
